Students will apply the concepts of economic thinking and the economic inquiry process, as well as economic models and theories, to investigate, and develop informed opinions about, economic trade-offs, growth, and sustainability and related economic issues.

History, Identity, and Culture, 12, University Preparation This course traces the history of Canada, with a focus on the evolution of our national identity and culture as well as the identity and culture of various groups that make up Canada.

Spanish Latin American — In this Spanish course, students will start with the fundamentals and learn basic conversation skills such as greetings, introductions, and simple questions and answers. Homeschoolers can easily put together a portfolio or transcript of the subjects their child has focused on in the high school years.

If a parent wants to deny access, they can do so at any time. Students will explore various developments and events, both national and international, from precontact to the present, and will examine various communities in Canada and how they have contributed to identity and heritage in Canada.

For homeschoolers who plan on attending college, accurate record keeping throughout the high school years is important.

Students can create a personal profile, post comments, upload pictures and videos, and comment on other posts. An important focus will be on using language with precision and clarity and developing greater control in writing. Students will investigate a range of topics including culture, economic, and geopolitical relationships, regional disparities in the ability to meet basic human needs, and protection of the natural environment.

This course is designed to help students understand economics as a whole, and the importance of financial responsibility, both in college and beyond. Time4Languages students are taught to speak and also think in the new language through a proven method that is effective, interactive, and fun!

Using a combination of both online and offline projects, multimedia lessons, instructional videos, worksheets, and quizzes, students will be introduced to the topics of nutrition, stress management, substance abuse, relationships, family planning, medical conditions and diseases.

Students will explore social, economic, and political changes, the historical roots of contemporary issues, and the role of conflict and cooperation in global interrelationships.

A Geographic Analysis, 12, University Preparation This course examines the global challenges of creating a sustainable and equitable future, focusing on current issues that illustrate these challenges. It is strongly recommended that parents review the content before registering their students for this course.

Italian — Whether your children want to learn Italian or improve their fluency, our award-winning, interactive program allows them to work at their own pace and even use a Speech Analysis screen to improve pronunciation.

With visual as well as reading and writing elements built in, students will learn language basics, greeting and introductions, and other fundamentals in an immersive developmental sequence that consistently reviews the material. A fun, student-paced approach teaches by connecting words and phrases with images.

High School Curriculum

Chinese Mandarin — The online Chinese Mandarin course features an award-winning, proven method in which students will learn to speak and think in Chinese. There are software programs and websites that can aid in the preparation of homeschool transcripts.

Students will explore the decisions that individuals and institutions, including governments, make in response to economic issues such as globalization, trade agreements, economic inequalities, regulation, and public spending. The course is intended to prepare students for college or the workplace.

Every unit includes 4 Core Lessons.

There is no memorization or translation involved. In this lesson, students learn how responsibilities are divided between the different branches of government.

Because Time4Learning is not a school, students do not automatically graduate upon completing our courses. Students will explore political decision making and ways in which individuals, stakeholder groups, and various institutions, including governments, multinational corporations, and non-governmental organizations, respond to and work to address domestic and international issues.

Many colleges and universities require documentation to rank students alongside publicly and privately educated students applying for admission. Most colleges and universities will readily accept a homeschool transcript, if prepared well.

Students will apply the concepts of political thinking and the political inquiry process to investigate issues, events, and developments of national and international political importance, and to develop and communicate informed opinions about them.

This lesson,students learn about the four economic systems and are asked to identify different goals associated with each. The high school electives include two courses: Both courses are designed to give students real-life skills and important know-hows to promote a healthy, happy, and financially stable life, both in college and throughout their adulthood.

Homeschoolers can list their courses, course descriptions, and even grades received on the document. Students will use geo-technologies and skills of geographic inquiry and analysis to develop and communicate balanced opinions about the complex issues facing Canada and a world that is interdependent and constantly changing.

Grade 12 Courses

They will extend their ability to apply the concepts of historical thinking and the historical inquiry process, including the interpretation and analysis of evidence, as they investigate key issues and ideas and assess societal progress or decline in world history.

French — The online French course features an award-winning, proven method in which students will learn to speak and think in French. However, Time4Learning is used by accredited schools, and has printable reports that can be included by parents as part of a homeschool portfolio or student transcripts.

A portfolio is beneficial for unschoolers, or those who have focused on a particular area of study during high school because it allows the student to showcase their particular talents and interests.
